Your Halloween Guide.

Ghouls. Ghosts. Goblins. Oh. My. Halloween is fast approaching. In New York, Halloween Week  is a great excuse to get the party started early. Here are a few of our favorite picks to paint the town orange.

Blood Manor

A New York Staple – One of the scariest haunted houses this side of the Mississippi.  Not for the faint of heart. And you must be 21+ to enter.

Tues . Oct 26, 7:30 p.m.-1a.m.; Blood Manor 542 W 27th St. New York, NY

Scream

For those who crave a good scary movie to get into the spirit of Halloween, Lincoln Center has the perfect escape: Scary Movies 4, a horror filmfest. The four-day event has it all: premieres, classics and lots of guts and gory. Check out Jim Mickle’s much hyped “Stake Land”, straight from Australia,  “The Clinic” by James Rabbitts, for their New York premieres.

Oct. 27- 31; Lincoln Center Walter Reade Theater 165 West 65th Street Upper Level New York, NY

Saints & Sinners

Some say the world will end in ice, some say fire. Whatever your, flavor, De Santos’ Halloween party will satisfy. Last year, the party featured three open bars (yes, THREE), a fortune teller, Djs and, of course, a costume party. Expect more tricks and treats this year.

Fri. Oct. 29; De Santos 139 W. 10th St. Manhattan, NY

Pub Crawl

New York wouldn’t be New York without a proper pub crawl. This year, the crawl gets started on Halloween Eve Eve, at 5p.m. sharp, so ditch the work duds and get loose. This Happy hour features $2 Bud Lights, 2-for-1 well drinks and a $4 special on Blurry Vision Vodka Cocktails. What’s more, the crawl starts all over again Saturday (and Sunday) just in time for a little hair of the dog to work its magic. Venues include Bar None, Finnerty’s,  Village Pourhouse, Van Diem,  and Side Bar among others.

Nick Cannon Haunts Amnesia

The thought of Nick Cannon and Halloween may not exactly roll off  the grey matter with ease, but trust us, the “America’s Got Talent Host” will not be defined solely by his marriage. Case in point: Nick’s hosting Amnesia’s Halloween extravaganza aptly titled “Haunted Bloodhouse”. The multifaceted Cannon will also man the Dj booth along with Dj Finesse. And in grand Amnesia style, there will be plenty of spirits (pun intended), entertainment and surprises. Costume only.

Sat. Oct. 30,  10p.m.-4a.m.; Amnesia 609 West 29th St. bt 10th &11th Aves. New York, NY

Ghosts Hit Marquee

Another Halloween Eve party at Marquee. Called “The Haunting of Marquee”, this Halloween bash has a guaranteed good time, aka, the open bar from 9-10p.m.. With musical styling’s by DJ’s Bobby Trends, NYSE, Yoshi and Jeffrey Tonnessen, and 6,500 sq. ft. of upscale lounging, Nick Cannon may have some competition.

Sat. Oct. 30, 9p.m.-4a.m.; Marquee 289 Tenth Ave New York, NY
